My Services

Adult psychotherapy

Whether you’re seeking therapy to break patterns of behavior, address past traumas, improve relationships, or simply want to improve your life but aren’t sure where to start, together we will work to uncover and understand unconscious dynamics and patterns in relationships that impact your life.

Psychotherapy for children and adolescents

Supporting children and adolescents to express and process their feelings, heal traumas, and build psychological strength lays the groundwork for lifelong wellbeing.

As a child therapist, I facilitate emotional growth and healing by helping young children find avenues to express their feelings through a mix of play and talk therapy, according to each child’s specific developmental and emotional needs. I focus on reducing overall tension, leading to a rippling positive impact in other areas of their lives.

When I work with older children or teenagers, the process may be different. It may be more focused on helping the individual articulate their experiences verbally, as I pay attention to what might be unfolding in the consultation room. This can lead to greater self-awareness, a reduction in overall anxiety and depression, and improvements in self-esteem.

Psychotherapy for couples and families

Tending to important relationships through therapy can enhance and rekindle connection between partners and family members.

Problematic dynamics in romantic relationships tend to be rooted in feelings that go unheard by partners, and treatment as a couple builds intimacy, helping the relationship thrive.

Family therapy can be a way to explore – and resolve – recurrent difficulties. When a family works together, it can also heal together.

Services for mental health professionals

Mental health professionals working in a variety of roles can strengthen their practice by deepening their understanding of psychodynamic and systemic forces at play in their work with children, adults, couples, and families.

I bring a broad and open perspective to the work, infused with my experience supervising therapists who see diverse patients in both private practice and in public mental health clinics throughout New York City.

Individual clinical supervision

I offer individual supervision and clinical case consultations for fully licensed clinicians, available on an ongoing or as-needed basis.

Supervisory groups

Cohort-based support for mental health professionals is a powerful tool for enhancing practice, building or keeping a professional community, and reducing burnout. Are you a group looking for a supervisor? Or, an individual looking to join a group? Reach out to learn more about my current groups and availability for new supervisory group support and learning.

Consultation for organizations that support children and families

Staff dissatisfaction, conflict, and burnout impede an organization from its mission to support children and families. Organizational issues tend to be bidirectional: issues that arise in the support of children and families can replicate themselves in professional relationships and organizational dynamics, and — vice versa — organizational dynamics can show up in work with families and children.

Consultation and process groups are powerful tools for professional development and can reduce attrition, improve team cohesiveness, and help an organization better meet its goals. Reach out if you are interested in customized professional support for your team.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am not in-network with any insurance plan, and I do not file insurance claims. However, if your health insurance provides out-of-network coverage, you can significantly reduce the cost of treatment.

If you plan to file out-of-network insurance claims, I provide billing statements with the appropriate coding so you can submit to your insurance company.

I recommend checking with your health insurance company prior to our consultation call to see if your policy includes out-of-network coverage for psychotherapy.

  • I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. I encourage in-person sessions when feasible to maximize the impact of treatment and do think this is the most effective way to experience therapy. However, virtual treatment also provides meaningful benefits and remains a valuable option, especially when travelling to the office is prohibitive.
